Medical Interpreting in the Age of COVID-19 Virtual Workshop

This workshop will prepare medical interpreters to work in medical settings while remaining safe and avoiding infection exposure. It will also facilitate a professional discussion on emerging best practices for interpreters during the COVID-19 pandemic. Concepts taught during this session include: infectious diseases, PPE (personal protection equipment), contact precautions, droplet precaution, airborne precautions, specific information about COVID-19 protocols and what to do before/after medical assignments to reduce the risk of infection.
